an experiment

I'm always looking for ways to get through to people. Like the classic John Maxwell quote says, "information is getting out, communication is getting through..." so I'm always trying to think of ways we can get through to people.

We've tried some different things and this is the latest... desktop wallpaper. We've had it for ages on our site for people to download. Just some random images and Scripture with our church logo, and people have used it. I've seen it on people's laptops or when I've been in people's homes... and as great as it is, I really wanted to take it to another level.

SO... the end result is... for the next couple of months I'm going to make monthly desktop wallpaper for people to download. On top it will have a monthly calendar and a list of all of the main all-church events going on throughout the month.

I figured this upcoming month (December) would be a good time to debut it because of the fact that our service schedules are a little bit different since Christmas and New Year's both fall on a Sunday this year. So, not only is it something nice to add to their desktop, it will also keep what's going on right in front of them.

I did four different designs because people like variety and all four of the images are images we are using in our print pieces, video, and web throughout the month, so they are images that people are familiar with already.

We'll see if this one makes it through!
